Over a hundred in stock on Autotrader?
Did a quick search country wide on brand new 2019, 20 M2C and showing a hundred in stock, and doesnt seem to be marked up as well. Does it mean the wait is over?

Remember a good chunk of those fall under the stop sale, thus, cannot even be sold/let go.

Also, many of the cars on Autotrader are already sold. Their automated system often lists cars online as they are received. You are right though the pinch has eased up a bit.

With a stop sale for almost a month, there still is a pinch. You can’t get delivery right now. Also includes M4s.

I'd be willing to bet 80% of those aren't actually available for sale, as in they're not sitting around the dealer lot waiting for a random person to stumble upon them. Most obvious way to tell is there aren't any actual pictures of the car, as they're automatically posted by the inventory system.

Most of the ones extracted from dealer's web sites are spoken for.
My M3 was on the dealer's web, listed as "in transit" not listed as "pre-sold" A way for dealer to makes people who are looking to get excited until they call, then probably told to order one. |

I found that to be the case on my ordered F31 years ago....it "appeared" on the dealer's website even though it was an ED order with re-delivery in Spartanburg...never even "hit" the dealer's lot. While I might "understand" why they do it, it's certainly not helpful for those seeking vehicles...

Bought mine off Autotrader last month. Save searches FTW. Put in exactly what I wanted waited a few months and a 19' LBB, 6MT came up 4 hours away from me.
In fact the one I ordered is on Autotrader right now even though it's not delivered stateside yet.

The stop sale definitely meant there were a whole bunch sitting around that couldn't be sold. Keep in mind that a custom-ordered M2C in 8 weeks was more tempting than a dealer-customized one that's sitting on the lot with an indefinite stop sale.

I can tell you there are 47 M2's sitting on dealer lots and 14 of those do not have a stop sale.

BMW already said the m2c isn't production limited...they probably limited the og m2 production numbers to try to nudge ppl into m4's who didn't want to wait. At 61k BMW is probably making enough money to crank them out...i just wish they had some incentives or better rv's like the m4/m3..
