20 inch rims on M340i with adaptive suspension?

Hello all,

I'm new here and this is my first post.
I have ordered a M340i in Belgium last week.
Almost full option except the laser lights and adaptive cruise control.
I like the M performance rims style 795M but they are 20 inch.
Has anyone have 20 inch rims on their M340i with adaptive suspension?
I think it will be hard (tyres are 255/30/20)...
For the moment i have a 435D gran coupé M sport with adaptive suspension, but every year i have to change a tyre because they are damaged on the side... Now i have 255/35/19 RFT.

I think with the 20 inch rims i will have more problems then now.

What do you guys think?

Thank you,
Frederik

I've got the 20" 794-M wheels with adaptive suspension. On smooth roads, no problem at all, the car drives great. On rough roads I play it safe and put the car in comfort mode. There's barely any rubber between the wheels and the road and I don't want to risk damaging the wheels. I won't even let my wife drive my car because I'm scared she's going to hit a pothole ruin my wheels, lol.

I have the 19" 791Ms with 225's all around (don't think tire width makes a difference here) and adaptive suspension but every time I hit a pothole my heart is in my mouth, both from the jolt and thinking about the possible damage to my rims/suspension. Unless roads in Belgium are perfect or you plan on switching from the garbage run-flat tires to normal tires, you are better off with 19" or 18".

I love the 795M wheels, but I personally won't get 20" wheels again. Like you I am constantly replacing tires that are damaged from the roads well before they even hit 50% wear. I currently have 245/35/20 FR and 275/30/20 RR tires. The roads where I am are mediocre (there are much worse areas) so I can only imagine how bad some people will have it. I think 19" without RFT would be the sweet spot on the g20 for looks and durability.
