N26 Timing Chain Issue?

I have 121,000 miles on my n26. 2013 328i xDrive, car is completely stock, I don't plan any time soon to tune it, anyways... as stock? Is this timing chain issue as widespread as people make it out to be? And also to update the guides and everything how much does it cost? I'm talking Indy prices, not dealership, please break down parts+labor+time = thank you.

Garage List
~700$ in parts give or take depending on how much you decide to change in parts, around 10-12 hrs labor, budget 2-2.5k$.

Thank you! I found a kit on FCP Euro for like $555. I want to change the failure points, not (other stuff I'm wasting my money on.)
