Pricing on Leftovers
I've been watching a few 2019 M5C's that have been sitting on the lot since January, which seems like a long time. I've got one dealer 6% off MSRP but it feels like i should be able to do better than that on a car that's been sitting for so long. Is that crazy? What will happen when the 2020's start hitting the lots, will a much bigger discount be given at that point? If so, how much?

Sure. But no one knows when. Part of it will depend on if there is manufacturer support for the discount.
When I got my M3 CS in December it had been on the lot since July. They had it listed on their website for $12k off MSRP and my deal was even better. Long story short, dealers aren't in the business of keeping cars on the lot. Lol

You should be able to do better than 6%...but it will depend on the dealer. I got 11% off a M5C order back in December (delivery was this March)...it took a bit of effort to locate a dealer willing to do that (and a bit of negotiation).
As a side note, the car that masmole bought came into dealer stock in early January. Since it was the exact spec car I had on order, I asked Patrick BMW what they were willing to do price wise. At the time, the car had just arrived and the most they would do was $2k off MSRP. Fast forward a few months and I believe masmole got closer to $10k off MSRP.

Thanks, this car is on the lot but it's an individual color which seems to make them not want to deal as much. Maybe I could get them to $10k off, that would be 7.6%. Being on the lot for 6 months has to be a killer for them.

I'll wait a little bit , because dealers are limited by the margin they have on the car
factory support should kick in several thousand dollars sooner or later |
