Tuning Questions
Hello all, I have a 2013 328i xDrive n26 with almost 121k miles on her. She's been SUPER RELIABLE. I've only had to replace the seized tie rod ends. Was $670 for inner and outer both sides. I cannot complain as the car itself is very good, anyways I am looking to do some tuning, nothing too crazy just to draw a bit more power out of Paris (my car's name she is in a gorgeous Alpine White.) I know tuning will increase wear and tear on the engine which is understandable, I am just not trying to destroy the engine. So please give me some good starting points! Most appreciated, FYI. I had an e60 before this, 04 530i. m54, most nightmare car I have ever owned.

If you want reliable power go with bm3 stage 1 by protuning freaks. Im currently stage 2 fbo and love every minute of it. Join the BM3 enthusiasts group on facebook for more info when you get the chance

That's what I'm leaning to! I'm not exactly DIY Friendly on stuff like this but I have the money to pay someone to install it I do not mind, Kies Motorsports is close to me, but I feel any good tuning place would be capable of doing it. I heard a lot of good stuff about BMS Stage 1, anything I should upgrade???

Prior to paying someone to it's worth the time to look into how the unlocking of the DME to upload the tune is done as things have become more refine where the unlock can be done in the car's OBD port vs having to manually open the DME under the intake manifold.
For the stage one you can for the most part run stock though be mindful of the plastic charge pipe as more boost pressure flowing through might bring to light the reason why many of us upgrade that weak point. My two cents would be for BM3 having been on the platform for a while like many guys here but of course the choice is yours so I'd say read into it and see if it fits the bill as the tune you'd like to run. https://www.protuningfreaks.com/coll...428i-520i-528i |

I strongly recommend BM3 stage 1 as well. I also recommend that you look into doing it yourself It's very easy, kind of fun, and you'll be familiar with all the things you can customize on your car with a cable and a laptop.
