Carbon Fiber lip restoration

Hey guys,

Just thought I shared my experience since I couldn't get much info about this.

My CF trunk lip was in really bad shape after only three years. Last winter was pretty rough here in Montreal and my original M Performance rear diffuser looked like garbage.

Sorry I forgot to take a "before" picture, but it looked similar to that picture

I asked my BMW dealer, two tuning show, two paint shop... Everybody was telling not much can be done and/or they have no idea.. They were all suggesting me to buy a new one!

Finally found a guy who had experience on CF since he worked in aerospace before. He did an awesome job and only cost me 180$.

Dont throw out you damaged lip guys!

My point was really to tell people NOT to listen to the guys that says "just buy a new one".

It can be done at home, but it requires many tools and products I did not need for other than this. It would have been more expensive for me to buy everything I needed and the job would not have been as good.

There is a few DIY carbon fiber restore on YouTube if you're really motivated
