Keyless Ignition will not start engine after dashboard change

So i have an F32 which required a dashboard change after the airbags were deployed. After the change, i noticed a few weird things.

1. Windows wouldn't dip when opening and closing the door. This was rectified by a general window reset (holding it up and down for a few seconds).

2. Navigation Monitor doesn't work. Although i believe this was an issue before the dashboard was changed. I upgraded from the 6.5" to the 8.8". There is power going to it as the backlight turns on when the ignition is on, however it stays completely blank/black.

3. The keyless ignition system doesn't read my key anymore. Key works fine for opening and closing the car, however when inside, it will always prompts me to hold the key up to the steering column, and after a few tries with it there it turns on. My suspicion is, when i put the new dashboard back in, I've either shorted a cable or I've somehow damaged the sensor. Unfortunately I don't know where the sensor is located otherwise i'd have a look.

Also it's worth noting that during the change i didn't disengage the battery, it was on at all times. This was due to it being very difficult turning it back on if the boot closed and it being a multi-day project, i couldn't leave it open for so long.

Any guidance or advice would be very appreciated. It's doing my head in trying to figure it out

I bought the car from an auction and isn't in a drive-able state, however the ignition/engine does start with the key on the steering column.

Also i'm assuming the upgraded screen isn't working as i haven't updated the code.

Put a 10-15 amp charger on the battery over night and replace battery in key.
Check system voltage with engine running.
Put ISTA on a laptop, buy ENet cable and interrogate car. Several DIY installs available for ISTA.
Run test plan for codes.

1. Car Battery is brand new and fitted recently, i'll do a health check with my charger incase though.

2. I'll do the voltage check as advised.

3. I just bought an Enet cable to code battery and 8.8" screen, so i'll do as you advised and run some tests.

Thankyou for your response

After running diagnostics on ISTA, i think i found the culprit.

fault 804107 : Aeriel in passenger compartment, front: line disconnection

I am now trying to locate the aerial that controls the keyless function. I may close this thread and start a more specific one.

Did you do anything around your center console (not Dashboard)?

That's where the front sensors are...right around the shifter.

I did infact remove majority of the centre console trim to remove the dashboard. I'll have a look there and see if anything out of place.
