First real post here
hello,
I just wanted to say hello and thanks for the information I've gotten so far since this is my first post to the F30 forum. I am on here to learn all I can for my wife's car which is a 2014 328i w/ M Sport Package we bought exactly two years ago with 25k miles. It now has 55k and so far, no problems. I spend most of my time on the Ducati forum's but since our warranty ran out not too long ago, I am doing most of the service/maintenance on it and have been on here trying to get as much knowledge as I can. I was a little hesitant on working on a newer BMW but once I actually looked into it, it's actually easier than I expected. (so far!) So, I've changed the oil twice, air filter and over the weekend I replaced the rear brake pads. The only complaint is BMW seems to have so many different options and I ordered my pads from FCP Euro with VIN # but they still sent me the wrong pads the first time. The brake job was fairly easy. The brembo brakes are very similar to the brembo brakes on my Ducati's. Pull the pins out swap the pads, replace the pins and basically, your done. Anyway, the next big thing to service will most likely be replacing the transmission fluid and filter. It looks like I will need some sort of program to read the transmission temps for this job. mf p.s. Couple of basic pictures of the car and i threw in a pic of what I drive when I want to go fast! |

Nice vehicles! I stick with four wheels, two wheels makes me too nervous. Stay safe!

Welcome, fellow Atlantan! I just got my 340i about 3 months ago, but haven't met anybody around the forums yet from ATL. I'd like to change that

When I started considering a BMW of any stripe back in February, my first idea was, "A white one would be cool." I'm glad I bought my gold 328. But I still think a white one would be terrific.

Hey all. I appreciate the compliments on both the car and the bike. Plans for the car aren't much. Will keep the engine stock but would like to put a subtle rear spoiler and a front lip on her sometime soon. Thought about chipping it but my wife rarely comes anywhere close to the cars potential, so that would be a waste of money.
We just recently had a baby, so I haven't been able to ride my bikes for the last three years, other than a couple of rides up to the tail of the dragon and the N. Ga Mtns during the summer. This past weekend I did take this bike out for a couple of hours just to stretch her legs a little bit. I wish I could explain how it sounds with the dual Termi exhaust and open clutch rattling around.....pure motor-porn! I see in your tag line "2 wheels moves the soul". What do you ride? |

Where in Atl are you located? I have a condo in downtown Atl but we bought a house out in Grayson a few years back. I started a new job a year ago, so I am now commuting back into Atlanta everyday which takes over an hour. If I was still in my condo, I could walk to work in less than 5 minutes.

I'm referring to both lol, RWD and bikes. I just have a Ninja 300, nothing crazy like these ducatis. The wife is pushing me to sell it, so there's that.

I go 78 to 20 most days. Some days I have to take 85 when I have meetings out of the office. I try to avoid 85 in the mornings at all cost. But then, there is no easy way getting around Atlanta these days. So is Lawrenceville finished with all of its construction yet?

Great bikes! The red one is ready to be used in a movie about bike racing ...
Since the car has 55K miles, at some point in the near future shocks will have to replaced. If you want to maintain comfortable ride without spending too much money, Bilstein B6 will not lower the vehicle while providing a much more controlled ride. |
