Favre a Buccaneer?

The Tampa Tribune is saying it is a done deal. Brett will be a Buccaneer.

I admire the guy but I am so glad this is over.

Seeing him in other than green/yellow is going to be weird!

I hope its over, I am so done with this crap. I love Brett but I have to side with my team on this one its time to move on. He has been toying with us for 4 years now.

Its going to suck seeing him in another uniform but GO PACKERS!, and Aaron you have some big shoes to fill especially with all of this drama.

I lost a ton of respect for Favre now. Don't hold a press confrence and announce your retirement (tears, trembly voice and all) and then decide a few months later..."Hey I was just kidding. Pretty funny huh?"

I hope he gets sacked, a lot and whever he ends up plays the Packers and Rogers just annihilates him.

He thought he was retired - and felt the itch .. Realized he couldn't stand to sit on the sidelines and not play this year. Not exactly sure how you can lose respect for him for that reason.... little overdramatic if you ask me.

I look forward to seeing him play again this year - regardless of what team it will be (albeit it will be weird not to see him in a Packers uniform).

Kind of reminds me of Montana/Chiefs...

I always liked Favre, but after his "I'm not sure if I'm retired or not" thing it made me hate him. I hope he sucks in Tampa, which he probably will. Just give it up already and retire before you get creamed and have to be in a wheelchair or make yourself look like an idiot.

It's not that surprising to see him back. I didn't doubt for one second that he would be back. Very few sport players can just quit the game like that. It's a little dramatic but I don't mind it. After all, it's his life and if he wants to play, let him play.

At first I thought Brett wanted to come back to win, now I see he only wanted to come back to play and doesn't really care about winning the whole thing. How else can you explain coming to the Jets when you have to play New England twice, and if you make the playoffs you gotta play Indy, Jacksonville, SD, Pitts, etc. . . . . Brett just had an itch to play, and now gets to play for a mediocre team.
But, maybe this story isn't over yet. Maybe Jets will trade Favre to the Vikes and really screw GB. That would be awesome.

Not going to happen, there's a special clause in the trade agreement between the Packers and the Jets stating that if they choose to trade Favre to the Vikings that they will forfeit 3 1st round picks to the Packers...

J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets ....it feels nice to have the jets being the center of attention for once...im a season ticket holder, i think brett will make this year much more exciting for me and fellow jet fans...

Plus its nice to have all the publicity...win or lose

i always loved brett, followed his whole career on GB...proud to have him on the jets...its weird tho..hes always a packer in my eyes
