Bay Area Dealer for Service
Picking up a lightly driven 2018 M2 in a few days. Looking for recommendations for a BMW dealership for service and warranty work around the Fremont area. There is Fremont BMW, Eastbay BMW in Pleasanton, and a few others within reasonable distance. It seems the dealers service departments always get mixed reviews, just trying to get established with the least problematic location. I am willing to do most repairs and maintenance myself if needed, but while under warranty, and if I can get the factory maintenance plan "refreshed" over to me, then I want to at least have a relationship with a dealer. Thanks for any feedback! Hope to meet some other M2 owners in the area shortly!

I typically go to BMW of Fremont and have had good service experiences there. Nick Lal is an excellent SA.

I also go to Fremont BMW and Nick Lal as my SA. However, the past service I noticed that my dash cam was disconnected and they put 7 miles for an oil change. I texted Nick asking why was my dash cam disconnected and never got a response back.

I should make it a habit to review the car when picking up, and bring up questions before leaving. Thanks for the feedback!

Nick wouldn't know the answer to that. The tech that did it would. Do you know which tech you had?

Regarding why the tech may have put 7 miles on your car, on my M2 to check oil level, I believe the car has to be driven a short time before the display will show current oil level. The M2 is new to me, but there is no dipstick, and I'm still learning about the car and electronics.
