This is an insult to manual transmission owners. This is one thing I really wanted but simply couldn't justify the price for since I might get rid of my car within 2 years.

A few of us manual guys already ordered. The only difference we can tell is a slightly higher final drive, like less than 3% difference

Is there a huge difference for automatics if you aren't tracking?

They quoted me 4 hours at 168CDN last week. Not sure rates elsewhere. However I've seen some bmw documents online stating 2.5 hours, gonna ask my service advisor about the following document tomorrow.

Have you installed it yet? While I'm sure there's a good chance it'll bolt on, did anyone verify that it will fit? Also, I'm wary of the taller final drive, though like you said it's only 3%.

They told me about 2 weeks for delivery so I'm hoping someone else can install in the mean time

If you like to spin your tires, if you like to pull into traffic with some vigor, if you like to do sweet burn outs this is for you.

lol no. I was reading the auto diff comes in 188mm and 315mm but not sure how or what year they changed it. I'm not even sure my order is going to be filled. Worst case scenario I flip it and make a few hundred bucks.

Unfortunately, you would know for a fact if it was actually coming and not "backordered".

They were all gone before this particular thread was even started

So they don't keep any back for warranty work or is that in a separate inventory from the units already sold?

As I stated early on in another thread they would be forced to keep some units in reserve for warranty as State Laws require it.

Those would not be offered for sale.....or perhaps how the 180 in Germany disappeared in a little over a week (I am confident they did not hold that many of them).

The 11 units remaining on backorder from Germany (that may very well be cancelled as the other backordered units from Germany recently were) are most likely BMW deciding how many Units to hold back for warranty purposes.

They certainly are NOT doing another run of these units....as at this price it literally impossible to make a profit. If it were possible (when pigs fly) then they would not have made the units discontinued - unable to order in the system as there are clearly many just on Bimmerpost who still *think* they are getting units or already know their order was cancelled.
