Suggested spark plug gap?
Hello, everyone:
I've noticed that my 320i gets a slight shake for a second at idle occasionally and I am getting misfire codes — I figure it's time to have the spark plugs changed as I have put almost 43k miles on the car since I bought (purchased at 37k) and haven't switched them out yet. I've also done quite a few mods which probably doesn't help. Here is my current mod list: Intercooler Intake Downpipe Muffler Delete E30 JB4 Stage 2 (260whp off this tune alone) Point is, with the 320i coming with 180hp from the factory, these mods have brought a huge increase in power. What would be your suggested spark plug gap? If I'm not mistaken, the 320i stock gap is the same as the 328i (0.03in or so). I haven't experimented much with smaller gaps, but I'm sure your input will help with those decisions. Don't want to gap it too narrowly. Thanks for any insight you can provide.
