Registering a car from FL to IL

I am moving from FL to IL

I only have 5 months left on my lease. Will be giving the car back soon but I will have to get my license change here. Any idea if I have to pay any back taxes on the car or just moving forward pay extra tax for the next 5 months that are left when I register the car?

Thanks!

Did you have a chance to research https://www.cyberdriveillinois.com?

Whether the vehicle has been purchased or leased, when moving to another state the first item to obtain is a record of all tax payments made to the state(s) where the vehicle has been registered since the sale. This information will be used to determine whether you owe any taxes when registering the vehicle in IL.
