Interior lights

What menu or what do you press to keep the interior dome lights from coming on when you open or unlock the car

Not sure if this still works with newer BMW but when the dome light is on hold down the dome light button for about 5 seconds till they turn off. Should not come back on until your reverse the procedure. Worth a shot.

That’s a cool little feature I didn’t know existed... now when would this be useful though?

For me every night because I can't stand (in any car) when the interior lights up like the 4th of July the ambient lighting gives off plenty of light

I had done this when my kids were babies that was many moons ago so I was not sure if it still worked this way.

So I had no idea this feature even existed. I tried it last night and it worked! Great find- thank you

One issue, the illuminated seats don't light up anymore when unlocking/locking the car on my M4. That was the ONLY interior lighting feature I enjoyed every time I'd unlock the car. Does the M5 have the same thing happen when disabling the lights?
