Both rear passenger doors creaking/rubbing on something

I can't figure it out but it must be an easy fix as BOTH rear doors are making the same creaking/rubbing noise.

I've tried searching the boards and there probably is a fix but any quick suggestions would be great and I'd appreciate it! The car is flawless other than that.

Gummi pflege is what the technicians use. BMW used to have their own brand which was a gel but you can get it online although in liquid form. Just go to your “favorite” online store and search gummi pflege.

So then where do I apply it? On all the door seals?

That’s what I do. Easy application couple times/year as my cars are all garaged and weather in S CA is ok except for summer.

Yep, same thing with mine.
As many have said this will fix it. Apply on the inside of doors rubbing shadow line trim

You need to apply Gummi pflege to all the seal surfaces on the door that touch the car body. The noise you are hearing is the trim dragging across the black shadow line trim. It's like dry wipers chattering across the windshield.

Mine started doing that 7 months after purchase. Put on Gummi pflege, and haven't heard a sound for the past 2 years. Just make sure you follow the directions and let it dry before closing the doors.

There’s a super long thread somewhere talking about the squeaking from the door seals. Besides cleaning the seals, some on that thread posted about applying teflon or low-friction tape to the doors - with detailed instructions you can follow.

My own doors squeaked like hell for a couple years but it eventually stopped completely - presumably when the rubber got older and slicker (i.e. less sticky). Gummy pfledge periodically would help for a while, like a couple months.

What about this stuff? Plus I don't have to wait for Amazon delivery. Thoughts?

Edit: I got this stuff, applied it, and all rattles and creaks are GONE! Yeah!

Based on what I have read in these forums and now my own experiences with my car, it seems the consensus is that it is important to keep the door seals and the black molding clean and then to keep the seals lubricated with any of the products discussed. Other solutions as discussed also seem to work. I found that if I wash my car on a regular bases and use a clean microfiber cloth to specifically wipe down the seals and molding that I could really knock the squeaky sounds down - it did not last super long and that is where I found the gummi pflege works well. My guess is the WD40 product will do the same; glad that stuff worked for you. Seems like another good product to keep in the house.

So I teach medical students aspects of infectious disease including lectures on STDs, etc and based on what you wrote above it got me thinking that one can safely say the following phase and use it for a variety of purposes - "it is best to keep it clean and well lubricated to make it work well!!! A little silly humor to start your morning.

I would be concerned about using a product like WD40 that contains petroleum distillates as it can degrade rubber products (“never use Vaseline with condoms, lol”). Get the gummi pflege from Amaz.. as it has been specifically formulated for use on rubber products. Hmmm, I wonder if it can be used as a lubricant for....

I checked the ingredients and it is only 5 to 10% petroleum unlike real WD40 which is 25%<.

Gummi is OEM #83192449390

Every 3 weeks or so I open all the doors and sunroof and go to town. It definitely does help albeit temporarily. You have to get anything rubber on both the door and in the jamb. Roll the windows down in there etc. Then clean the glass the next day.

I think the car wash soap has something to do with it. The pressure wash closest to my house really brings out the rattles. The one 20 minutes out isn't as bad.
