Best Diag/Reset/Scan/Actuation Tool to buy?

Hello All,

Was wondering if anyone can suggest the best economical tool for scanning for codes, resetting alerts and actuating components such as brake ABS etc.
I've looked at Foxwell and also the PC based Cable. Looking to you guys who have used these tools and can recommend the one(s) with these features.
Thanks!

I have a Foxwell nt520 Pro. I find it very handy for most needs. Better than basic code scanners and also has battery registration, air suspension, ABS/SRS, and other modules reset/diagnostic capabilities. While it's not at $1000+ Altel or similar related scanners level, it really does get a lot done. I use Inpa/Ista off my laptop for more in depth issues, but rarely use it now that I have the Foxwell. As a matter of fact, I've yet to bring my laptop out since purchasing it. I had an e39 and have an e53, and it deals with those chassis electrical issues like a champ. lol Can't beat it for ~$150.

Just my opinion on it, YMMV.

Hi-
Yes I looked at that one and it seemed to be a good DIY tool.
So if you need to shake out the bubbles after a BF flush it would actuate the system?
Thanks

I haven't checked to see if could cycle the ABS system. I'm sure someone can confirm, but I wouldn't think the flush could leave the system dry enough to need it. I could certainly be wrong tho. If I get a chance, I hook it up and see if it has the capability.
