Best and least expensive way to upgrade the looks of my brakes
I have an M sport 335i xdrive and the rusty looking brakes etc. really drag the car's looks down. What can I do on a budget to improve this?
Thank you all!

Look in DIY section on stock caliper painting.

I also HATED this look. You could paint your rotors but I went with the z-coated rotors made by Zimmerman (OE manufacturer) and said good bye to the rusted life! I have the gray brakes made by brembo (BMW labeled) so I don't have a problem with them rusting. Hope this helps!

I just did mine. I used 3 coats of primer and 6 coats of VHT paint. Allow the paint to dry for a few days and then add your decals or just clear coat. Prep is key. Make sure you use brushes to get rid of all rust and debris from calipers and sand them down as best you can. Finish off with some brake cleaner and make sure they're dry when you begin.
I'm on the second day of paint curing and waiting for my decals to arrive. Easy peasey, just take your time.

Umm... did you paint your brake calipers without taking them off of your car? Can't say I've seen that done before, but looks good.

I did. You've never seen calipers painted without being removed? Google it and literally hundreds of YouTube videos pop up. Easy to do just takes prep work and patience.

A lot of rim repair shops will paint your brakes and even stencil on a logo if you want that. $25/brake.

Ohhh man, that looks awesome! I want to purchase new discs and have my calipers pained red. Can anyone recommend inexpensive discs that are decent?
