Does anyone know what this car would really weigh? I feel like it drives like a tank and is way too heavy to be a sports car.

i have a gas station near me that has a certified scaled that cost $10 to weigh. i might take my 328i there

Ain't that the truth!
After I completely hopped up my E30, it was a sports car. My E46 I considered a sporty luxury car.
I've been doing various suspension mods, but this F30 is still "GT", not sport.

Compared to what? An MGB? The F30 has always been marketed as a sports sedan, not a sports car. In the BMW line the sports car niche would be the Z series.

I thought the 3 would be small and light but apparently I need to go all they way down to a
2 series.

I live somewhere where this is cost ineffective to drive around in traffic hunting a scale and was hoping someone else on this community had already weighed the same model.

Let's not confuse 'marketing' with 'designing'.
A 2002tii could kick an MGB all day long. It was a real sports car with 4 seats. Why don't they do similar today?

My 2002 would kick 'Vettes all day long too. I still wouldn't call anything with more than two seats a sports car, although some that were euphemistically called '2+2' were close enough.
