Things that rub us enthusiasts the wrong way

I'll start it off with mine:

... when my wife kicks the car with her boots when she gets in because she's too lazy to pick up her feet!

When a passenger is trying to open the visor and graze their nails into the headliner to open it, or graze their nails into the headliner to grab the roof handle

When someone gets in the car with their bag and leans it on the dash instead of putting in in the footwell or trunk. Too many times that’s scratched some interior piece!

Not kicking your boots outside the car to clear off snow from your boots before entering the car.

- Letting the gas cap dangle and potentially damage the paint
- Letting the gas drip onto the paint after filling up the tank
- Probably just me, but staying on the gas pedal when there's clearly a red light/stop sign/stopped car ahead.

This stupid new sales person did the first two with me on the freakin test drive.

Took off the cap and literally flung it until the strap caught and then slammed onto the body, then filled up my car and got diesel all over it.

All the meanwhile i'm in the car hearing everything.

Closing the door using a butt push...you know what I mean! One time, it caused a nice butt dent in the side of the door

1. Never washing their BMW and letting brake dust cake on the wheels, completely destroying them.

2. Calling it a "Beamer" not "Bimmer". Now I know how Porsche fanatics feel.

I barely wash my cars... sorry

I parked it under a tree a few days ago and all these tree stuff were all over the car, I just took it to a self service booth to rinse it with a pressure washer. Car is still dusty and fills with water spots. I guess I will give it a good wash + wax in... May.

The weekly rain in the bay area really holds me back from washing it

When someone tells me that my car is too small, or too low, and that I should have bought a crossover instead.

I solved this one with the wife from day one, she only does it sometimes now when the car is parked on an incline and gravity slams it.

Or you can do a soft close retrofit.

Dragging your feet on the sill plates. Scuffs them terribly. Left lane tortoises. People that don't know what lines mean in a parking lot....
