bmw factory alarm

the factory alarm really is a joke. having my car for 2 years now and for the first time accidently set off the alarm (car was locked and i jacked up the car) the alarm went off and i was like really puny puny the siren is.

my neighbour can't even hear it, i prob wont even been able to hear it inside the house.
where is the siren? anybody ever upgraded the siren or whatever to have it loud for ppls attention?

Don't know what's up with your alarm - but I can hear my alarm siren sounding out in the parking lot @ work while I'm inside & at the other end of the bldg

I'm assuming the siren is still located behind the DS rear wheel well liner as it was on the E9x series cars

I did not code it to be this loud, but you can go in & code the volume level of the alarm - do a search in forum Coding section. Think it's changing 'Buzzer_Level Hi' & Low to werte_01

I thought mine was pretty loud as well. I also discovered this feature while jacking up a corner of the locked car...in my small and quiet garage, I was scared shitless for a good few seconds.
