Hi all,

My M340i has been at the NJ VPC for over 2 weeks now. My CA just called and said that the car is "on hold" due to the M performance parts that I added (mirror caps and rear spoiler). No specific reason was given for the hold but I imagine they don't have the parts yet or something similar.

I'm removing the M performance parts from my build and I'll add them again myself later. Just a heads up for anyone adding parts at port that it may result in delays.

My car hit the port this morning at 5:00 AM and was thru Customs and to VPC at 7:30 AM. Work order created and should be on a truck tomorrow sometime.

No port installed items/ Seems like that is holding cars up. I was going to get the carbon fiber rear spoiler but ditched it the last minute.

I've been keeping an eye on M340s for sale in the states and I have yet to see one with M performance parts. I haven't seen any US folks on the forums with M performance parts on their G20s either.

I don't have any specific info on what parts cause the hold up. Although I suppose it's at least the carbon fiber mirror caps or spoiler based on my experience.

My car finally made it to the dealer 4 days after removing the M performance parts off of my order. Hoping I can pick it up tomorrow.

Can you remind us what port installed items you ordered to get an idea of what is actually available? The fact that yours got through with actual M performance accessories is promising. Thanks in advance!

The only port installed options I got were the gloss black rocker panel extensions, rear bumper trim and rear diffuser. It did take 12 days at the port though.

D'oh. Maybe I should have waited. I'm going to see if my dealer can bake the cost of parts into the MSRP and install them when they're available.

We both picked similar parts

, I also got the M rear bumper trim + CF Diffuser. But I specced it on my original build sheet , so not sure if the factory already installed it. Or irregardless all M performance accessories are port installed ?
