EBT
I've just coded EBT and it works. I have an android phone and just for my curiosity I tried a USB cable and it showed my music on the screen, no album art but just txt. now for whatever reason its stopped showing music txt. Any ideas?

no I can still use a USB stick and bluetooth streaming is still working, however as I've said I have an android phone and the other day I tried using the USB c to usb lead and for whatever reason what song and album was being displayed on the screen only in txt but it was there. Now everything still works but the album and song isn't being displayed. It just says unknown. At the bottom where you can go to next track or previous track, inbetween there it just says please wait.

looks like an android issues to me lol, nothing to do with your bmw idrive system i believe
