Speed Ventures track day!

Hi,

I spoke to the guys over at speed ventures, we can get a further discount with 4 or more people. The event is at BW on August 8th and 9th. Let's see if we can get a list going here.

What is the discounted rate? I'm already signed up for a NorCal even Aug 23 but I might be able to squeeze this one in too if the price is right

If you drink lots of water and wear sun screen and long sleeves it is a non issue. I've done motorcycle days in hot weather and it is ok as long as you hydrate properly and take care of yourself

What he said.

Never overheated, but don't want to waste track time if I do. Planning on September if it cools some.

it will be 150 instead of 180.00 which is petty cheap. I have one 10x20 garage canopy and a 10x10 smaller one, so there will be plenty of shade, besides the lounge there is air conditioned and i usualy go in there from time to time to cool off. As for the car, i have yet to have that issue, i keep the heater on at full blast and switched to 50-50 mix on coolant.

What is the format? 5x25min sessions? How many run groups and how many cars per group?

Sorry for all the questions, I am trying to evaluate if this is a better value than the usual $159/day NASA norcal event

Hi I have never counted the sessions per say but you get 5 standars plus one or two more at the end , when other groups get smaller you can go out in other groups up or down. They are usually not crowded like NASA and the atmosphere is very relaxed, you should try out for yourself.

***PICS***

definetly not a BMWCCA HPDE. On sunday, I spoke with Dan Tackett at the BIG SCE event and he reaffirmed alot of what the smart guys on this board have been preaching to the rookies here.

sooo. update?

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and guess there was more traffic than you are used to, the passing rules are more aggressive and there is a big difference in the performance level of the cars/drivers?
