The engine recently started making a new whining sound, like a med-high pitched whrrl. It is definitely correlated with engine RPMs, not speed, transmission state, etc. A belt? other ideas? should I try to hunt it done or leave it be? Last edited by monkeyboy; 04-08-2019 at 02:20 PM.. |

no it doesn't... the sound is subtle to be sure, but definitely a change from a month ago...
and it is much more prominent when I turn on the heater/fan. while it is strongly correlated to engine RPM (higher RPM, the louder and higher pitch it is), there is a tiny bit of lag relative to the actual engine. It is most noticed at the end of the first recording... |
