Best way to sell?
What would you say is the best and fastest way to sell your car. I have a MY18 M2 LCI with 10K miles. I am buying a 2020 M340 which will come in in 4 weeks.

The absolute fastest way to sell your car is to legitimately list it for $1 and take the first buyer that shows up. I guarantee you no other method will get your car sold faster. In fact I'm so confident my method will get your car sold fast that if you're not satisfied i'll pay you double your listing price. so you get not $1....but TWO whole doll hairs

Does your state allow you to only pay tax on the difference when trading in?
Take it to Carmax and get a quote, since you know that's your bottom line, then see what your purchasing dealer will offer? If you don't save the difference in taxes, then Craigslist and Autotrader are great options. Cars.com and OfferUp may be worthwhile too. If you've gone through the trouble of taking decent photos and writing out a listing, you might as well list it on all the main sites listed above. |

the "best way" and "fastest way" do not go hand in hand. Fast is carmax or just take to a dealer. takes an hour.
If you want to get the most then sell private. I have done really well listing them on ebay. you're local to me. what do you want for the car |

The dealer knowing this may try to offer you less. Selling the car privately can be easy if you have the title and the buyer is paying cash. More complicated if your bank holds the title and the buyer is also financing. I would get a quote from CarMax, keep it in your pocket. See what the dealer offers, if it's more than CarMax, great. If it's less, tell them you're just going to sell if privately unless they offer you more. Most times they'll match or beat the CarMax offer. Once you combine this with your tax savings it usually isn't that far off from a private sale without much hassle. If you actually give the car to CarMax you would lose the tax benefit, either way this shouldn't matter to the dealer since your tax benefit doesn't effect them negatively. Ultimately your goal is to trade it in, but at the highest price the dealer is willing to give you. |

I am getting jerked around by my SA. He quoted me Invoice minus $2000 loyalty credit on a 2020 M340 which is now in production. When I mentioned to him that I heard BMW was offering a $1000 credit on the lease of a 2020M340 during the month of April, he now says that the initial offer only applied to me financing the car. In fact we never discussed whether I was going to finance or lease. He is actually being a real jerk about it. Thing is we have communicated solely by email and I have all the email communications. I simply want the price he quoted and the BMW April lease promotion.

The 340i only has a $1000 lease credit, no locality. If your car is delivered next month, you could take advantage of that if they get better.

I know many car owners who put their cars up for sale for recycling. Whoever I ask, everyone uses only scrapi.com. However, you will need to have some documents ready when our recovery team arrives. Your ID, car keys, and logbook will need to be shown to our collection team. Don't panic if you are missing one or all of them. Just let us know in advance. If you lose your paperwork, we can arrange for replacement documents from DVLA, Don't forget that we also do all your paperwork for you, so not only do you get a free scrap collection, but you can also avoid all that tedious paperwork!

I sold my 2015 Mini Cooper on June 7 2021, a week before delivery of my M2C. I got a CarMax quote of $11,200. A friend asked if I had tried Carvana so I got their quote online and it was $11,900. So I chose Carvana. Not only did they offer more than CarMax, but they also brought a flatbed truck to my house and picked up the car, after I had selected the appointment time. Talk about convenience!
