Summary:

-M2C slower by a hair to 60mph but was gaining ground quickly by that time

-There's a legit roll towards the end and everything in between is two (South African?) dudes trying to figure out how to go on "3" with twerking music in the background.

I'm impressed with the RS3!

The RS3 is down-right speedy. I got to hear one growling it's way out of a parking lot at speed this weekend. That 5-cylinder sounds pretty great. It's also more of a sleeper than our cars. Couldn't fault anyone for either choice.

Hard to beat the RS3 if you are concerned mainly with going fast in a straight line. Easily the fastest car in it's price range outside of a Hellcat. It's once turns are introduced that it starts to lose its shine as it's nose heavy and not a great handling car. Still for a daily driver it's hard to beat if you want something that's fast on a green light.

Second that on the RS3. My friend has one, he was in the 10's with just a tune/intercooler. Now he's running 10.2 with a bigger turbo and bolt ons. Shooting for 9's. Beyond impressive.

I rear drove a saloon RS3 back in June/July last year and put a deposit down on one. I loved the interior (for me i think it's better than BMW's), the awesome sound of the V5, the 4WD pull of the line and the handling was superb. Still, I ended up getting my deposit back as the engine on the new builds hadn't passed emissions testing in Europe at that point and I then started to read about the understeer the car was showing on track, which is when I found the M2 Comp and I haven't looked back. The Audi sales guy called me the other day to tell me he can now get new builds, at which point I happily told him I went with an M2 Comp

The RS3 sticks to the road like glue which is fine if that is what you want. The M2C is playful and fun to drive. They are totally different driving animals. If I lived in a harsh cold climate I would get the RS3 for a daily.

I absolutely despise the Audi front grille. (Lexus has them also.) Thank goodness that look is a lot less prevalent than it was a few years ago. The Bangle BMW "flames" come to mind as another atrocious design idea that took hold for whatever godforsaken reason...until sanity returned...

If I was forced to have an Audi, I would voluntarily put a front license plate on it to improve the look LOLLLLL!!!

I did the same. Even though the payments on the RS3 were significantly lower I ended up getting the M2C.

That being said, there were some days during the snowstorms when I wished I bought the RS3.

I've got the estate for when it snows / rains. It's a rear wheel drive estate, but I still take it slow and steady 😊

Not sure if the M2 owner is a member here or not, but I personally am not a fan of his channel or content. Not very scientific in his approach or skills. I find Joe Achilles far more credible among others...

If I remember correctly he made a whole video of him sitting in his car with a BMW specialist trying to figure out how to initiate launch control. He didn't realise this wasn't possible until the 1200 mile service had been completed 🤦🏼 I personally wouldn't have spent ages editing and posting that video if I was trying to grow my subscriber numbers on YouTube.

Luckily here in the UK where I live I only have 1-2 days light snow per year 😅

I'm not a fan of that guy either. I like the topics he chooses, but he just annoys me for some reason.

When I saw the title of the video, I was all excited...in my head, I was like please don't let it be that kenji guy...and bleh, it was.

Mad haters around here.

Not every video needs to be a hoon fest or a recap of other reviews

It's not me being a hater. The guy seems like a lovely bloke. What I'm simply suggesting is that with so many YouTube car channels out there combined with the fact people's time is precious, the great majority of people will want to invest their time on channels where the presenter knows what they are talking about, produces a half decent video and has ideally has some driving skill. Unfortunately Kenji Lo doesn't have any of these qualities from what I can tell. Another example to back this up: the first time he took his M2C to a drag strip he still hadn't figured out how to launch his car properly. When he did finally figure out how to launch the car (his opponent had nearly finished the 1/4 mile by the time Kenji left the line!) he then proceeded to lose control and nearly put his car in the wall!! If you want to follow someone like this then go ahead, I totally get that he doesn't care how he looks on the internet to other motoring enthusiasts, but he's not for me 👍🏻

Everyone has the chance to lose control of their car once in a while...what's the shame on that?

He is the only one on the internet trying to demonstrate rolling races with the M2C against other 'hot cars' which were quite interesting to watch.

What's your contribution apart from talking down on him? How about doing some videos tor top his, than I would be the first to say yes you were right!

You're right, it can happen to anyone. I lost control of my Peugeot 306 GTI 6 twice in 2006 and thankfully I haven't lost control of any car since then. I am certainly not shaming him though. I am simply providing valid reasoning as to why I do not feel his YouTube videos are worth my time when there are other far better and more knowledgeable car journalists / YouTubers to watch.

I saw one of his rolling road videos comparing the M2 Competition to a RS6 and I didn't find it all that interesting. That's my opinion, but perhaps you enjoyed it, which is your opinion - you are entitled to it. If I want to watch a YouTube channel that shows well produced drag and rolling road races I watch Mat Watson on Carwow. See below:

As for my contribution: Would that be your argument for every single person who expresses an opinion against your own? It's a bit of a one-dimensional attempt to try and win a discussion. I am not interested in trying to win a popularity contest by creating YouTube content to please others. Neither do I have any interest in spending hours upon hours editing videos in my bedroom. I have a life to live. I also have an opinion and sometimes I like to express that opinion, but it's not done in a nasty way. Like I said, he seems like a lovely guy, he's just not for me.
