Anyone know when 2020 X5 builds commence?

Hello, I'd like to order a 2020 X5, and I'm wondering when they go on sale. Anyone know? Thanks for any info!

I just got off phone from my dealership and they say that it won't start till Sept 2019 with deliveries into Oct/Nov.

Also the 3rd row option is no longer available in 2019 MY. And I want that badly.

Are any significant new changes expected for 2020 model year?

What? Have you been reading the forum? 2020 is a big year for bmw. A lot of models are getting completely revamped and majorly updated

X5 will have a new v8 and a new M performance trim. Called x5 m50. With 523 HP. If that is not major. I dont know what is

New interior colors. Possibly full leather. Search the forum

You can order in July Production in august. Delivery september

So no point leasing the 50i at this time. I'd better wait a few months for the upgraded v8.

> Most customers are still going to buy the 40i or 50i, so there is no point of waiting to order the 2020 model for those two trims.

IMHO, if you're purchasing (as opposed to leasing) it makes sense to wait a few more months to order the 2020 model year X5, assuming you don't need a new SUV right away. Down the line it'll have better resale value, when the time comes, since it's technically a full year newer.

Also, it seems like BMW occasionally sneaks in updates between model years (not necessarily during a LCI changeover). For example, the new F48 X1 came out in late 2015, and just one year later BMW released some unannounced updates (e.g., new iDrive computer) along with the previously-announced updates (e.g., adding an sDrive model). This means the first model year X1's can't get the redesigned X1 iDrive software since the computer isn't powerful enough.

Still not correct. M50 is going to replace 50, and potentially not have an x line option for M50- 0nly M performance trim

Only 40 is not seeing major changes. There is talk about tweaking B58 engine and new exterior and interior colors and options like full leather, alcantara ceiling, sky lounge roof etc.

If this is true then I'm feeling good about pulling the trigger on the F80 trade with the warranty expiring in October. My X5 just entered production and it helped to have the manufacturer warranty and service still in place for trade-in value

If anybody knows what colors will be offered for 2020 I would love to know. Current 7 choices don't do it for me & the 2 coming in April don't either. Looking for a dark silver or light gray. Very interested in the upcoming M50i.

Still can't find the G05 2020 X5 Ordering and Pricing Guides

The pricing guides that I found and found in only one place are just one pixel. I know people have them because the chats are all over the place on the option changes, etc.

If someone can post the unbroken links to the ordering and pricing guides that would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance.

You don't have to keep asking the same question in numerous threads, it would be easier to check for responses to your original post.

This. Ordered 2020 40i with full leather, sky lounge and Alcantara to match upholstery - I think extended Shadowline is new for the 40i also, but not sure - ordered. Some colors (Ruby Black, Sunstone) were deleted, Manhattan Green added. CA says production begins in August.

Do you have a production number yet?

Sounds like a great spec that you've ordered there - executive pkg is required for sky lounge, correct?

If you are able to get your production #, can you ask what week it is scheduled?

That is correct, it is not listed as a separate option.

Yep; Exec Pak includes Sky Lounge; Drive Recorder is also a new inclusion, and interested to see how that works. We optioned both cars to the max, M Sport, and elected the 2-axle air rather than the standard M Sport suspension. No Off-Road, but I've never taken any of my fairly pricey utility vehicles off road, except a GX in Idaho, where my neighborhood was pretty much off road, and I don't think it's available in the M Sport. Had an X-Line in my X5d, so been there, done that. I've got a call in to the CA, so will report back when I get info on dates.

Good info Paladin - can you confirm you have a production # for both vehicles, and if so, what's the scheduled production week number?

2 of them, huh?? Lucky you! Enjoy!
