Fitting gray brembos on base model car
I was wondering what it took to fit the gray brembos on a base model car?
2015 328dx f31 I'm assuming they use bigger rotors? I know theres 312mm, 330mm, and 340mm rotors. I'm guessing I have the 312mm, and are those compatible with these calipers? If there is a forum post I missed about the gray brembo compatibility please let me know ,thanks. |

Besides getting the proper size rotor they bolt right up. I used the 340x30. I think that is what you would want to use as well. The others would be to small. You will need to bleed your brakes as well.
Just did this to my car. |

I think the 330x30 would be the size for the rears if you had the bigger single piston calipers that come with the grey brembo fronts. I am looking in to doing the rears on mine due to I bought all four calipers already.

You can find pics in my build thread
The rear calipers look a little different and they take a bigger rotor. It will help even out the look of the big 340 rotors up front. I would replace the rusted bleeder valve on those calipers. |

Wondering if your dust shields would fit/work with the bigger brakes.
Just took my stock brakes off last week. Was thinking about selling them in the future, just need to figure out shipping/boxes.

I had the grey brakes on with the stock shields. They fit but they are really small compared to the bigger ones that come with the bigger brakes.

I'm doing this project right now.
There's a thread on it (actually multiple). With part numbers. I'm sure you saw that and started your own thread anyway. |

edit: been looking it up and still can't find solid information, posting links rather than saying "go here" really helps, or at least it whats I do with other members. Last edited by 328iX; 03-09-2019 at 07:31 PM.. |
