Bird shit and more than one pit - advice needed

Of course, after a good washing and Zaino treatment what else should I expect from our little feathered friends but a big dump across my hood (and I mean across as in splattered across a 3 foot section)?

Was able to get the splattered shit off but it actually left marks where each piece of shit was. I took the Zaino swirl remover to it - nothing. Took some polishing compound to it and it got a tad better. Finally, took some clay (not sure why I thought clay would pull away what compound wouldnt) and it didnt do a thing. It's only noticeable from an angle in the light but its definitely noticeable. Alpine white.

Suggestions?

The same happened to me. I tried everything as well, bird shit is very acidic. I have two spots and one of them happened while I was driving and it was only on the hood for 5+ minutes and still left a mark on the clear coat. Well, I think it burned the clear coat. Let me know if you ever figure it out.

I'm carrying my Detailing spray and microfiber in the trunk after hearing this. BMWs new clear coats are too sensitive!

Ever since I saw GregW's crazily well prepared kit in his car I thought it would be a good idea to do so. I think I've saved my clearcoat 2 or 3 times already.

I do think that Zaino's new Z-CS, which is my top layer, performs exceptionally well with that protection.

I just ordered Adam's detailing spray by the gallon. I heard it works the best and safe on the clear coat.
