winter tires and wheels in New England
I realize there is a similar thread for the uk, but I did not want to hijack that one, my questions are a bit different, and focused for New England
I am looking to purchase a 40i in New England. I want it to handle snow and cold conditions reliably. I am planning to get the off road package which may have a "snow" setting. I am considering 19 and 20" wheels. Is appearance the only practical difference? Is it worth the 3k to purchase winter tires and wheels? Are there other options? If you get aftermarket wheels, can you get the tire sensors to connect to the vehicle? Thanks for any comments and suggestions. Allen |

How much did the 20” winter set up set you back? I assume there is a material difference in price vs the OEM winter setup you can find (mostly in Canada it seems) since a lot of people seem to be going the aftermarket route.

Right. And quite a bit cheaper than the OEM setup:
