Blind spot warning sound

I have a X3 with the driver assistant package. The blind spot warning works well, but it does not make any warning sound.

In my other cars, if I make a turn signal with a car in my blind spot, there will be a warning sound along with the flashing light in the side mirror. If I did not make a turn signal, there will be only flashing light and no sound. I think linking the turn signal with warning sound is a very convenient feature.

Is that something can be configured in the iDrive?

No. There is no sound played and as far as I know nothing a person could code to do so.

No, just the flashing light and the steering wheel vibration. Shame the vibration is so weak though.

If reading older posts, it was concluded that the steering wheel vibration was broken on many wheels. It was possible to hear it, but no vibration. Something with a bad design of a mount.

Sorry, how does that relate to the blind spot setting?

Oh really? I haven’t seen that, maybe that’s what’s wrong with mine, the vibration is so weak there’s no chance I’d feel it unless I was looking out for it.

One thing my Audi does that I like is the blind spot light will start flashing if I put my blinker on and there is someone in the blind spot. Though I know it won’t not be effective in a BMW

Ah ok sorry. Duh! Now I see what you're saying. Yes, my steering wheel vibrates slightly if there's a vehicle in my blind spot and flashes in the mirror.

Perhaps I replied on the wrong post.
Just want to let all know that there was a fault in some wheels earlier. And that was the non M sport wheel @teaston, but maybe it's the same design for the vibrator.
If you have the vibration setting for LCW to high, it should be felt. But I think even though it's on high, it's not strong enough.
