21” wheel repair, anyone so far
I seem to remember reading that you can only repair them twice maximum. Wondered if anyone has had a repair completed yet and before and after pics.
Also does anyone know the price/part number for a replacement single wheels. |

You could go through all the expense and hassle of replacing or refurbishing the wheel and a few days later hit another pothole and be back at square one! It’s juat a car, a tool to be used, don’t let it ruin you! |

Ouch! I have a similar rash but its more then likely to happen again...somethings are out of our control! i guess it would be worth doing once there is more to repair.

No, you can’t, unless they’d painted around the pot hole, left it for a few weeks, and you can prove it. We went through one in my wife’s new Mini, and they didn’t want to know. Spoke to a solicitor, and he said we haven’t got a chance.

I wouldn't worry about having that professionally done in case you do it again. I've scraped one of mine slightly - brick sticking out from the bottom of a wall which I hadn't noticed - but I'll wait until I'm close to the end of the PCP in case I catch the same wheel again. When I gave my M235i back at the end of the PCP I thought I didn't have any kerbing (I'm usually extremely careful). The guy doing the inspection founding kerbing on the inside of one of the wheels (no idea how it happened) and said I'd get a charge. BMW wrote to say it should incur a £60 charge but they were waiving it.

There's a guy here that local collision people use. I think he quoted me $155 to fix a road rash wheel before. Plus, he comes to home - has everything he needs in Van. He travels to various locations for his services. Much like PDR guys. You likely have similar service guys in your location.

If the rim is not bent, then that's just minor surface damage and should not compromise the structural integrity of the rim. A good wheel repair shop in the US can easily fix that for $100 - $200 and it will look like new.
