Broken exhaust valves

Has anyone else had a problem with their exhaust valves rattling? All i can hear when driving and on cold starts is my valves rattling very bad. Anyone know a fix?

Take the car to a dealership and have it fixed/replaced under warranty

There is pin called a "fixing bow" that becomes loose or dislodged which causes the exhaust valve(s) to rattle.

It would be covered under warranty but I included the part number incase you want to DYI it..

Note: I know it's a standard M2 exhaust in the photo illustration below, same part number as the M2C...

The only rattling I hear is from the direct injectors

Mine was doing the same I queried it on my running in service and the whole back box was replaced under warranty.

I think it was caused by my downpipes, i went to get it warrantied but no one in the states has the part yet they said might have to wait a month for the part

Kinda happy I didn’t drop my exhaust to paint yet. That’s all I would need for them to deny my warrenty.

I don’t have the rattling issue but when its really cold, -15 and below, they fail to open.

Old thread, but I need the part that connects the actuator to the flap. On my M2C it does not look like the fixing bow - unless it sits in this housing, which is missing.
