What's your car washing Routine?

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Hey everyone... just out of curiosity I want to see what your car wash routines are...

I usually vacuum the interior once/twice a week and have a detailed wash every week.
I'm not too familiar with specific brand equipment so some recommendations would be cool.

My cars color is YMB and it gets dirty pretty quick.

Any recommendations on washing techniques/wax/etc...
Leather cleaning supplies?
Rims?

I prefer to wash my car myself rather take it to a carwash or detailing company.

Thanks, cheers

There are a bunch of YouTube videos out there that can explain it much better than I can. I recommend Chemical Guys or AMMO NYC videos.

ONR, ONR, ONR. Optimum No Rinse will change the way you wash your car. I haven't used car shampoo or running water in a year...It's amazing! I use a drying aid (Optimum or Adam's) afterwards to enhance gloss and slickness.

Absolutely ONR. Best product on the market. Dilute for wash, separate ratio for a drying aid/leather cleaner and clay lube. Literally works on everything, do yourself a favor and buy the gallon.

I have BSM so I'm washing it constantly. Works even better if you're already ceramic coated.

3 Buckets (1 for wheels, 1 with soap for body, 1 rinse)
Hose car and wheels down
Foam cannon car and wheels
Rinse off soap with hose
Electric blower to get water out of cracks and crevices
Spray a mist coat with quick detailer over all painted surfaces for extra lube on drying
Dry with micro towel
I use Chemical Guys products pretty much exclusively.

might be too late to reply but imo chemical guys are just rebranded cheap Chinese products. their soaps for my ceramic coated car stripped the coating within a month even though they claimed it pH neutral.

I recommend Dr. Beasley's products, AMMO, Sonax, Griots, Adans, even Carpro etc. All great products and relatively priced. I recommend these over Chemical Guys anyday.

If you don’t use chemical guys waterless car wash or ecosmart waterless carwash - What do you recommend for spot cleaning a ceramic coated car - ie. Bird poop, sap..
