Thanks, doe it mean that I have to follow all the instructions to replace the ISOFix or by just lifting the seats should be able to replace the ISOFix on passenger rear door site. The pictures are very helpful and wondering if there is a locking system for the ISOFix cover.

I've R&R'd many a BMW lower backseat and they were very easy to do, and looking at the newtis info it doesn't look like they changed much if anything: Pull up on the front edge, it unclips, then pull forward & lift until it is out. Then you should be able to see the ISOFIX and go from there......

They just pop on and off. Mine broke too and showed my dealer. They removed the broken ones and gave me new ones to pop in when my daughter is out of the car seat since the new ones would probably just break again with a tight car seat install.

$180!! Makes me angry just hearing it.
BMW Dealers are so harsh. BMW swapped out my car after having issues that couldn't seemingly be fixed. I forgot to switch out my K&N filter. I asked dealer how much to change / swap air filters. I thought they would burn me with a $50 charge.. Nope. $250. Utterly ridiculous. 10 min work, max. I know they're in business to make money, but the old adage, "You can shear a sheep for life, but you can only skin him once," comes to mind.

Cant get the ISOfix cover off the seat. Anyone has a picture of how it attaches so I can attempt to take the cover off. Also, can't get the middle seat buckle to come through the seat. Any ideas. Thanks in advance. Cheers

Are they really that shitty? I would have thought they were made out of metal or something for that MSRP. How can they justify not replacing them under warranty if just using them correctly results in breaking?

I will dig this up a little beat. Since newtis.com is closed I can't look up how to replace the isofix cover. Hence looking for your advice
1. Do I need to lift/take off the bottom part of rear seats? If so how can I do it? Should I grab it by front front part and pull it up? Or should I grab it and pull it forward (I mean to front of the car). 2. I notice that main part that is holding the isofix cover is the 'hook' on the bottom part of it. How to lift it and remove it? I've search around and there's no clear answer for this and hence it is common issue that would be great to figure it out and leave it here for others |

Didn't try it myself, but it's waiting for me. Also broke the isofix cover, stupid me was pulling it out, not in.

If you buy the replacement part you will see how it fits. No need to remove seat. Pull from bottom as part pivots on a bar at the top. Tab at bottom may snap. Replacement just pushes in. |

Yeap, that what I thought - to use a bit of a strenght to pull it back regardless if the bottom part snaps. Good to have it confirmed now Thanks a lot. |

I just ordered new cover. We will see about that quality.
However to be honest - i am not concerned about bottom tab. On the other side I have one with broken bottom tab and it sits very good The problem with mine is these hanging part on a hinge/spring. That's the reason I am replacing it. Will let you know where my part comes in. |
