Finance vs Lease
So, which did you do? Personally, I financed. The lease wasn't significantly lower (only about 200 less). However, I just got an email and there's a lease special for a lesser equiped M40i for what I think was $569 per month. While it's not an apples to apples comparison since I added a lot more options, it still makes me wonder. Anyway, I'm still really happy with my (my wife's ) car. We've been mostly driving her car now since it's automatic she can drive if I don't feel like it
Sorry in advance if this is a boring or useless post. |

Bought it cash, traded in my M140i which I also bought cash, I don't see the sense in paying to rent a car then giving it back at the end of the rental period.. Yes I probably lost about 15k when I drove it off the forecourt but I can proudly say its my car

Not everyone is in the position to buy a car with cash! I prefer leasing because I want something new every 3 years. I'm usually ready for a new car after a year or so. So buying makes no sense to me to spend that much money on something that I won't even want after a few years.

When I got my X3 in October '17 there was the $2k incentive so I financed it. I paid it off with the second payment. These days we don't put many miles on either car so I may lease the next one and see how it goes for us.
