I did the N55 stage 2 for my 135is. It was nice but very conservative. Luckily it was on sale for 50% off.

Mods, I accidentally put this under S55 engine thread.

Could you relocate this under the N55 engine thread?

Thanks and sorry.

Pros, reliable tune comes with Dinan warranty

Cons, expensive and lacks in power

I didn't really notice too much of a power or speed difference with the Dinan Stage 1.

It did seem to "fix" Sport+ mode though.

Sport+ on the stock M2 was pretty undriveable. It seemed to be in constant race mode and it would never chill out. After the Dinan tune Sport+ seems smarter. It seems to know when you want to be aggressive and when you want it to chill out a bit.

The Dinan app is pretty useless. It just lets you toggle the tune on and off.

I'm also dealing with a busted charge pipe at the moment and BMW is pointing the finger at the Dinan tune and refusing to fix the broken charge pipe under warranty.

Good time to upgrade.

As far as warranty goes, if you want assistance, have you contacted Dinan?

Did a Stage 1 Dinan on my last car, a 228, and it was well worth the money. Really woke up the engine. Have been considering it for my M2, but from what I read it's not worth it for the small gains. I may be considering the Fab Speed Sport Cat which seems to offer much more HP gain for the money.

I had the Dinan tune on my 17 M2, it made a big difference. The car had noticably more torque and power but still fell off the powerband above 5500. It threw CEL's and limp mode on track under long acceleration pulls though.

I was able to get the charge pipe fixed.

Reeves BMW gave me the option of a.) replacing the broken charge pipe with another BMW plastic one for free or b.) installing a metal charge pipe and only charging me $300 for parts.

I went with the metal charge pipe.

A vacuum hose blew off the new charge pipe right after I picked the car back up.

Everything seems to be OK now though.

Looks like Dinan is working on a flash tune for the M2 Comp. Video on their facebook. No more piggybacks?

Did it throw light for the hose?
