Keeping it stock!

Been driving a HS manual for a couple of weeks and am totally content driving without any mods. Only thing I have done is PPF.

Anybody else feel the same way? Based on all the forum posts, seems most like to mod.

BMW did a great job with the M2C and driving it puts a smile on my face.

I'm in a similar place. I did minor things like front reflector delete and m performance shifter, but I don't think I'm going much beyond that. The only thing to me that needs fixing is the exhaust. Once that's done, I think it'll be just perfect.

Honestly, it's been weird for me. For some reason, I feel like my car feels slower than how I remembered during my ED trip. I think it's because it's winter right now and the computer won't allow me to go too crazy...preserving my life. So, I'm dying to give it another go during the warmer weather. Hopefully, I'll be wowed again, otherwise, I'll probably get the bm3 flash.

Wonder how it will feel to me after 15 years of driving a base model Acura RSX with 160hp lol

Yeah it's been cold here, and even in sport+ TC can be very aggressive. Hwy pull with an unintentional Hyundai Avante keeping up behind me left a lot to be desired.

I'm down for a meet, but when it's warmer out. Mine is hibernating for the winter. Hehe

Oh, I'm in Loudoun County.

The only time the muffler bothers me is when I'm on the forums. Doesn't bother me at all when in the drivers seat.

Other than painted reflectors I don't plan on doing anything, it won't make me any faster in the canyons as the car already has enough power for tight switchbacks. Use to love to mod cars but now I appreciate the balance of what the engineers decided on, I don't know better than them.

I am thinking of buying the M Performance shifter knob. Heard good things about it. Overall feel is better.

It doesn't bother me in the driver's seat either, it bothers the fuck out of me whenever I look at the car from behind.

That’s fine but just remember the engineers don’t have an uninhibited playground in which to create. They are restricted by US and EU regulation so you can argue that a few mods here and there are being done “in the spirit” of what the engineers imagined.

But yes I do agree that this car in stock form is amazing.

I was trying to pretend it wasn't that bad until my 12 year old asked me about the funny looking muffler.

Still keeping it stock or "easily reversible"

Also, I'd like to point out how many people asked me about the muffler. I get the usual "why is it so big?" from the layperson, but I even got comments on it from the last BMWCCA meet. Many people thought it was aftermarket because it looks so out of place.
