Retrofitted Trailer Hitch: working but Error in Kombi

Hi guys,
I have retrofitted the trailer hitch on my '14 F31.
The trailer hitch can be extended, locks in place and brings a green LED on the button.
Also all lights and signals work when a trailer is attached.

I have added 3AC to the VO and coded the whole vehicle.
I first had to assign a CAFD (cafd_000013f5-036_000_003) to the AAG controller.
The AAG control unit is displayed normally in E-SYS.

In ISTA-D, the AHM control unit is highlighted in red and a communication error is stored in the instrument cluster. Reference to transmitter "AHM".

Now I constantly have an error message in the instrument cluster and NBT. Sender is according to text the AHM.

I tried updating the AAG with psdzdata 4.15.20, but failed with two timeout errors RDBI_SVK and RDBI_FTP.

If I want to encode the AAG I get the error:
cdDeploy FinishedWithError
cafd_000013f5-036_000_003 NotExecutable

For information:
- E-Sys 3.27.1 used
- Premium Launcher 2.8.2 B155 used
- psdzdata 4.15.20 full
- AHM is brand new, never fitted in a car. Was included the retrofit kit.

Any idea to get rid of the message?

Thank you!

More Informations:

in IS** it says no communikation with trailer module AHM.
Measure plan says i have to check fuses and connections.
Checked this, CAN is okay (Can see the AAG in ESYS), and power is on all of the three fuses of the AHM.

Today i got a friends F31 with oem fitted Trailer hitch.
Will safe his CAFDs of Kombi, AAG etc. and probably change my AHM with his one to try...

Got news. Good news!

Tried the following:

1.
- Disconnected both trailer ECUs: Errors in Kombi still exists, addionally some errors in a few other ECUs.
- Reconnect both ECUs: Just the Kombi Error stays there
- AHM stays red in ISTA

-> seems as the AHM does something...

2.
- Disconnected both ECUs.
- Changed VO to stock (removed 3AC) and coded all ECUs.
- No errors

3.
- Connected both ECUs
- trailer hitch can be extendet with green light
- trailer lights all working
- ISTA shows AHM as green with no error

4.
- Tried coding AAG in E-SYS -> success!

Means: That i haven't the 3AC in the VO at the moment, but everything works perfectly.
I then coded the Macro_Trailer_Coupling to the NBT to get the zoom function back.

Marc,

Good work on the retrofit there doesn't seem to be many that have done it on an F31. Can I ask if the green towbar switch light illuminated after install and the swivel towbar work straight away or does it require coding before any function will work?

I have done all of the physical install of the retrofit on my 2015 LCI 330d F31 using OEM parts albeit some of them used. Now that it is all in place the towbar won't extend and there is no green light at the switch. I followed the OEM retrofit instructions down to the letter and double checked everything. All I have is a "trailer towbar electrics failure" warning on the iDrive.

I was always prepared to hand the vehicle over and pay to get it coded if required but wanted to get the physical part of the job done myself. I'm going to remove the retrofit block connectors and solder instead but other than that I'm not sure why it won't at least extend unless it won't function at all without being coded?

TIA

Gordy
