Thumbs down Did you pay or rebuke a Dealer Inventory Tax?

I recently noticed we got hit with a warehousing fee aka Dealer Inventory Tax by our dealership and am negociating to get out of it by reducing the bottom line on the build order. Tax is $126.18 on our build.

Any one else get stuck with this tax? Some dealerships try it, some don't.

Don't pay it. That's not your responsibility. Go to another dealership if they won't budge. Or ask for 6% off MSRP (not including rebates).

I got 7% before rebates and incentives. I also used another dealerships quote which did not include this tax.

I know it's an order but his numbers are screwed up like the sales tax on the net. They are about $156 short. I just don't want any surprises come time to "check out".

Texas is one of 7 states that has an inventory tax. "They" are trying to get the state to drop it. It's extremely low, but.......
