Last question before Lease: Wear & Tear policies!?
I've asked this before but on the way to get my car. On my current lease I got a "wear and tear addendum" . They called it "road hazard" on buyers form. I think it covers stuff that they may try to charge me for on return. It was @$1000 IIRC.
Do you guys that lease go for any of these last minute coverages that the finance guys try to add? I'm not doing any warranty or maintenance extensions obviously. Thanks. |

I plan on skipping it all. If things happens and I have to pay at turned, so be it. From looking at the videos on lease turn it, they seem to be pretty generous as to what is not charged for. I'm not near any major cities, if I parked in NYC everyday I may get it.

if you getting another bmw, i am pretty confident you wont get charged for things like tire wear and smaller dings.

I've had a scratch longer than a credit card and a sidewalk rash on two wheel rims. They have been forgiving especially if you're getting into another BMW.

5 Leases never paid a $ at lease end, usually those things cover scratches, dents rips etc - which I almost never have any that are bigger than their minimum - curb rash is maybe covered, all those things generally are cheaper to fix than $1000 unless you destroy your cars - I would doubt it covers tires, but if it did that might tip it towards worth it if you are going to go through a set a tires.
For me I say no to every crappy finance guy upsell as they are all insurance and most people loose for a few to win.
