Launch Control

Hello, I have a 328i 2012 and just coded Sports Automatic Transmission and Sport+
I was wondering if Launch Control will work on my car because I recently read that it has to be a 2013+ car.. Does anyone know if the date matters even though I have sport+ and SAT? Much appreciated

following because i have a 2013 and even after coding it does not work for me
Ive done all the steps require to activate and engine is at operating temp.
