Battery & Muffler delete question??

Hello guys,
so I decided to do my muffler delete mod yesterday, and to finalize and get better results, I decided to unplug the battery overnight. Today when I turned the car on, I had a message saying that the 4x4 system had a malfuntion. Also, the park break light was lighten orange. I started driving the vehicle, and a message appeared saying that I should not drive the car fast and I needed it to take it to service. I stopped the vehicle, turned it off, and when I turned it back on, all systems were ok. Do I need to worry and take it to service to do a check up, or everything is normal? Can someone give me some input please..

Everything is fine as other post said. It is known that XI's sometimes get that message after a ECU reset.

ya happened to me too... like 3 times. dont worry, nothing is wrong.

it was hard for me to hear that and not worry... i mean this car is my baby as i'm sure its yours but honestly... DON'T WORRY, it might happen again, just reset the ecu again and drive it and it'll go off eventually.

thank so much guys, now everything is fine, no lights on in my dash. I was getting concerned, but now I am having a good time. I love the sound, is so loud and deep, It kind of sound like the european version of a muscle car.

What's the difference if you don't unplug the battery, and if you do unplug the battery after a muffler delete?

unplugging the negative terminal is the easiest way to reset the ecu if you throw a SES code (service engine light comes one). It might not go off right away but it will in a day or so.

if you don't unplug it or reset the code somehow... the SES light might not turn off for a while.
