new f90 competition should I get jb4 or dme?

I just leased a 2019 snapper rock blue m5 comp here in nj...Wanted to tune the car but not sure what to go about with warranty... my dealer said wait for the dinan one ...because anything will be flagged for sure...Is this true even with jb4 or dme stage 2 with stock downpipes?

Yes it is.
If you don't want to worry about warranty then go with Race Chip, you can remove it and BMW won't know about it.
Price is great too
r33_RGSport can help you on that.

Whether you have JB4 or Racechip and your $45k engine blows up BMW NA will detect it based on your car's logs and deny warranty claim.....ecu tuning will be even more obvious;

Let me know if you wish to give it a try.

We also offer the Race Chip if interested

Dinan will be probably later this year - maybe.

Im doing both. If an issue arises, or need to bring in for service, just make sure to flash it back. Im sure though some will argue that process however.

Keep some money handy though if all measures fail.

regardless of what tune or piggyback you just have to beware of the what if....

I personally have the jb4 and BEF on multiple cars that i have owned:

F80 M3 Pure Turbos, Dodson Clutches, BM3 BEF, Jb4, Running on e85 over 30k miles-No issues ( not even the glorious crank hub issue)725whp.

Gen 2 -Ford Raptor Jb4 16k Miles -No issues

F10 M5 Jb4 BEF-50k Miles - no issues

F90 M5 JB4 with DEM BEF , Pure Stage 2 turbos, and car runs like a champ.

People like Dinan Because they warranty their products (through a dinar dealer) Dinan tuning is for the average joe not wanting to do much. All boil down to personal preference.

Any 60-130 times with the pure turbos

Been through most of these threads and not enthused to learn, however it didn't add anything we don't already know, with that said Thanks for the info! It's made me a little more concerned than I already was, that's all, since it's post the fact

As a backup I added the mechanical breakdown insurance from Geico. They will step in and repair in the event that BMW doesn't. It's like 200 bucks... Can't beat it.

Lots of blown F10 M5 engines running piggyback or tunes! many not reported on the forums......the F90 M5 engine "might" be slightly stronger apparently but almost identical

Oh i know. I was one of them. Blew a motor on an f10. Not blaming the tune .. never actually found out what caused it. But I'm almost 100% sure it's because I was running too much e85.

Cracked a piston in cylinder 8. Cost 20k to fix.

The F90 JB4 and BMS F90 Stage1 tuners both go on and off without an obvious trace. The JB4 has the extra ability to read/delete fault codes including hidden faults. Most importantly both are highly reliable products. It just depends how much power you want to add. The BMS Stage1 maximizes the power gains possible with the TMAP only connections so it's a great starting point for most. The JB4 is for those who want the absolute highest quality and performing tuning and most available features.

In my opinion for this engine to last long term I would stay 650whp or below

My path to enlightenment begins with at least 725-750 horsepower. Horsepower is one hell of a drug.

I got Geico and didn't know about mechanical failure! Did you disclose having a tune? Does this void the Geico insurance ?!
