Anyone running an ECU upgrade on the X5 40i?

I know must of us are just getting used to or still waiting on the arrival of our cars.

I test drove the 40i prior to ordering mine and there was plenty of power. However, I am coming from a F80 M3 and I confident I am going to want more power at some point. I have started researching options and it looks a bit limited. Albeit the B58 engine has been out for a few years and it looks like some tuners just need to update their marketing material.

However, I am curious if anyone is running any ECU upgrades on the X5 40i?

It looks like there are a few options:
Race Chip

Burger Tuning

Interested as well. I'm approaching the end of the 1,200 mile break in period and have been looking into RaceChip.

I wonder how these will compare (power wise) to the BMW MPPK that should come out for the G05... any assumptions!

Do we know for sure there will be a MPPK?
I'm considering the Racechip as well but waiting for reviews. After reading the reviews on the X3 forum on the M40i same B58 engine, my thoughts are mixed if it's worth the money or not.

Can you post links to those reviews please? I’m curious now... I also thought our engine was different than the one in the X3....

You can't go wrong with JB4, too bad bootmod3 have no B58 support.

I am also coming from a M4 and have both JB4 and bootmod3 in it.

Originally plan to wait for M50i but since I want something comfy and will not be ticking DHP or Adaptive Suspension Professional I am going for B58 and will JB4 for sure.

If you guys ready for RaceChip. I am just a PM away.
I have been using it on my G30 540i for 2 years now, and been a popular piggies in F15/F16 X5 (all 3 engine variant), F85/F86 X5M/X6M, and F90 M5.

Not sure what is going on in X3 M40i forum, I have sold a few to G01 X3 M40i owners too.

How much was it for just the MPPK + install? What was the hp gain?

Racechip claims +60hp for around 700 or 800 bucks. But it also voids any warranty.... right?

RaceChip in Germany offers engine warranties.
1 year for RaceChip RS and 2 years for RaceChip GTS / GTS Black.

They currently don't offer that in the US or Canada.

They're all running a JB4 so that's why hell my M40i stock hits 60 in 4.4s on all season tires

For sure a few are from mission. I can't imagine what that V8 will do in the X5, probably more than most people can handle in an SUV

I wonder if this Dinantronics tune would work on the B58 in the X5. I've reached out to Dinan to ask

What is the MPPK and how much HP gains to you get? I have a 2019 X5 50i G05, can I get it installed in my car?

Thanks!

BMW official ecu tuning kit: "M performance power kit". It is not out yet for G05 my guess is it will add around 40hp.

I have a 2019 X5 50I G05, would this be the best way for me to increase my boost or something else? I would think if I increased the boost for both turbos I would get much more than 40HP...?
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This aggravated me how nothing is out for the '19 X5 G05.. Why wouldn't it be an option for the X5 right when it comes out? Not one company has any kind of modification/tune for the X5 G05 which blows my mind.
How long does it typically take for anyone to come out with something?, even if its just an air intake?

Thanks a lot for the help!

There are no ECU flashes or piggybacks systems yet. Usually those things add 70hp+

there's not really a. need for more power imo. I haven't seen any aftermarket upgrades yet

maybe a generic N63 intake
