M2 Competition video follow up

Thought it was worthwhile to start a new thread. I added this video link to my prior video thread, but realized I should just have another thread. It's a brief followup with some details I realized I missed after my first video on the car.

Hope you enjoy watching! Look forward to comments and suggestions for future material. Thanks!

Question, what camera and mic are you using?

The rear mirror visibility sux. Why is euro glass 100 for e46 glass 5x as much for m2?

Perforations are going to get dirty and orange will not match seatbelts or steering wheel trim. Should have been blue and RED options if at all.

Have we mentioned the color yet, HS?

China is coming up with some nice CF now days. Including the aftermarket. Not sure why people are spending 4x the amount for a useless part with bmw tag. Not very aggressive either. Kind of like 4K exhaust systems, stop supporting this craziness.

Which floor mats come as standard? Do I have to buy the rubber mats from the dealer? Would prefer them over carpet...

Car comes quick with cheap carpet mats that don't even have an m2 logo. My dealer threw them in for free, but they likely cost about $100.

Just to clarify, your dealer threw what in for free? The mats with the M2 logo, or weather mats?

Sorry, to be clear, I got the standard mats, which DON'T have an m2 logo and they threw in the all weather mats that have the cool M striping.

The OEM mats with the blue (or orange) stitching cost $185 for the front and rear.. They sell slightly used on the member sale forum for like $100..

You can post them up in the FS section if you want to recoup some cost and truly don't like them.

I personally like the clean look with just the contrast stitching.. But then again, I'm weird; I also like ASD.. :

FWIW, my F80 mats don’t have a logo on them either. I think they just stopped making them maybe? Not really sure...

Oh, since we're talking mats, I had the m performance mats and they were really crap. They would get marked up immediately and could not come clean. After a year, they were wearing out with 8k miles in the car. Not a good alternative.

Nice job. So refreshing to see a "normal guy" doing a review. So many youtube punks posting clickbait.

I have the m performance mats and am starting to see what you're talking about. I like the way they look, but my drivers side is already hard to get clean. I've swapped them out with weather-tech mats for winter, so hopefully I can make them last a little longer. It is disappointing for how much they cost.

Nice review.
