Tint and Register my car in CA in the future
Hey all!
I'm a California resident and I bought my car in Seattle, thus having a WA plate. I've been driving back from Seattle when school's not in session during summer. However, this summer in So-Cal has been too hot for me and I'm thinking about getting some tints for my car since people say California Tint's good. I want to get the darker colors because WA's tint law's more lenient than CA's. But, if I'm going to move back for good from Seattle next summer and decide to register the car back to CA, will they check my car's tints? Has anyone done this before? and if so, please share with me the process of registering a car in CA. Thanks! |

damn my bad.
I reread it and it makes sense now. Well. . .they don't inspect your car or anything when you get it registered soo i wouldnt think it would be a problem |

Thanks guys! That was a lot of help. Is 35% the second darkest? cuz that's what my friend had and he said it should be fine even though he had to roll down the windows when he saw cops. I kinda want to get it dark.
http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/WA/ http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/CA/ I think WA laws are more lenient, damn DMV and CHP. What's the deal with the sticker requirement though? |
