Weird front end vibration noise?
About a month ago I started noticing a noise from the seemingly front end of my car that happens between 40 and 50 mph. The noise is a very consistent almost vibration sounding noise that happens only in this speed range, and can be heard loudest at 45 mph. It started when I had new tires installed on the car and after having both front tires changed out almost immediately I took the car to the dealership to have the wheel bearings checked and they ended up replacing the differential. This ended up fixing a strange howling noise that was happening in that speed range but the vibration noise was still there. When I got the new tires they informed me that one of the front wheels was bent so I also had both front wheels replaced and the noise is still there. I'm taking the car back to the dealership on Friday but I'm still pretty convinced the noise is a wheel bearing but I really have no idea at this point. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the sound could be?

With a damaged wheel bearing, it could be a faint click to a loud grinding with lots of vibration but the key confirmation factor is to do a steady turn in both directions with significant lateral force, the noise should be different in each direction.

To check if it's a wheel bearing, with the wheel off the ground, grab the top and bottom portion of wheel or tire and shake. You'll notice significant movement.

Is your car awd? This happened on my old is350. I had consistent vibrations at higher speeds and went through months of warranty replacement of axles, bearings and checks of brakes, wheels, etc... annoying as hell! Turned out to be the transfer case.
