Repair broken (rear) bumper clips?
Is it possible to repair broken clips on the bumper cover? Specifically the clips that get broken on the sides near the tire. JB weld could work maybe.. Asking for a friend.
If there is a fix I can finally fix the kidney grill clip that the previous owner broke on my car

I picked up a used e92 rear bumper from offer up for $50 after I got rear ended. Almost all the clips on the sides above the tire were broken also. I used 3M bondo epoxy from Pep boys (14$), think it's labeled as a bumper repair kit and safe for use on plastics. Comes in a 2 part syringe. Applied the epoxy and used clamps +parchment to hold the clips in place while the epoxy dried ~30 mins. Bumper clipped into place just fine.
Sidenote: Removing my damaged bumper without breaking any clips was not difficult, you just need to understand how the clip fits over the teeth in order to set it free. I used a flat head to push down on some stubborn teeth, but be careful not to scratch. Hope this helps. |

Master, I think you're pulling our collective chain, if not, bottom line is that he's not eating off his bumper, which is outside the car.
Once epoxy cures, there is very little out-gassing at normal operating temperatures. Now, 2000F would be a problem! |
