Body Control Module/ Junction Box compatibility between model years
I have been trying to fix my non-functioning wiper issue, and have pretty much narrowed it down to this module. It's the one that sits right underneath the fuse panel, behind the glove box.
I am seeing two different designs when looking at eBay. From the descriptions, looks like the 09-11 E90s had this one (blue connector on far end): https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-OEM-E82-E88-E90-E91-E92-E93-BODY-CONTROL-MODULE-UNIT-COMPUTER-BCM-3/112669897854?hash=item1a3ba6347e:g:5fIAAOSwsFpaI7g f:sc:USPSPriorityMailPaddedFlatRateEnvelope!75075! US!-1:rk:22f:0 ... and the ones up until 08 had this one (black connector on far end): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Body-Control-Module-Computer-Unit-BCM-OEM-BMW-E82-E88-E90-E91-E92-E93-2/113135065792?hash=item1a57601ac0:g:H3cAAOSwDn5bQBd W:sc:USPSPriorityMailPaddedFlatRateEnvelope!75075! US!-1:rk:24f:0 Mine actually looks like ^this second one, even though the build date is 5/2009. I want to get one that has the most recent update, least usage, and compatible of course. My question is, are they interchangeable at all, or do I have to stick with the original design that came with the car?? |
